Exhibit of Salish Weaving by Myrna Crossley Elliott

An exhibit of Salish weaving by at the Mayne Island Agricultural Hall with works by Myrna Crossley Elliott. The exhibit, held June 21st & 22nd 2024, showcased her phenomenal blankets, hangings, and ceremonial shawls, alongside works in progress on the loom, and her naturally dyed materials.

The exhibit also featured a foraged tea station by Beangka Elliott, with information about native plants and their uses, and a chance to taste iced tea made of fir tips, nettles, wild rose, and other local ingredients.

Short films from the Walking Forward With The Past project were shown in the gallery space during the exhibit.
